I spent several hours at the old Santa Barbara Mission cemetery looking for Maria VIGIL MEYER's grave. I was unsuccessful and the mission has no record of a grave for a Vigil or Meyer anywhere. I also checked the Catholic cemetery in Santa Barbara and they have no record of the grave as well. I hope that you find this posting and that we get back in contact.

For genealogy purposes, I am trying to find information on FELIPE VIGIL born between 1885/86 in New Mexico. He is listed in the 1930 Census of Union, New Mexico. He married MARIA PETRA MONTOYA born in the San Miguel County of NM. She was born about 1879. Her Parents were LUIZ MONTOYA and VICTORIANA ARAGON. LUIZ MONTOYA was born about 1825 in NM, and his wife VICTORIANA (Aragon) MONTOYA was born about 1864 this is according to the 1880 Census of Anton Chico in the San Miguel County, NM. Luiz Montoya and Victoriana Aragon were married on 11-24-1878 at Nuestra Senora de los Angeles, Pecos, San Miguel, NM. Now, back to FELIPE VIGIL he married MARIA PETRA MONTOYA. Her First husband was JOSE LUCIO DURAN. She married him on 6-14-1899 in San Miguel del Bado, NM. My Ancestors come from this line of Jose Lucio Duran and Maria Petra Montoya. I don't know when Jose Lucio Duran died. But, M. Petra Montoya married FELIPE VIGIL and they are listed in the 1930 Census of Union, NM. Listed with them are M. Petra's children that she had with Jose Lucio Duran. Please contact me with any information you may have on Maria Petra Montoya, and Felipe Vigil. Or, if you have any questions. I would appreciate it very much. Thank you, Rachel
