I have traced our line back to brothers: Joseph b. 12May1844 and Samuel b. 1848. both born in Iowa. I believe in Des Moines, Iowa, but there were 5 Des Moines in Iowa in 5 different counties. I don't know which one, but I think it was in one of the 3 counties in the southeast part of the state. You mentioned your Joseph had a Brother named John. Do you know if John had any children?
