Hello, I am interested in the wife of Thomas Lord Cochrane, Earl of Dundonald. Apparently he ran away to Gretna Green to marry Kitty Barnes in 1812. I believe that Kitty Barnes was an orphan and that she was living with an Uncle John Simpson of Portland Place and Aunt. This is my family and I am trying to find out Kitty's parents so that I can find out her exact connection. Apparently there is an article in Hansards. She gave an interview, as a widow, before the House of Lords on 24 July 1862 , as Kitty , Countess of Dundonald. Can anyone help me please ??
