My grandfather was Fuller S Cochran born mar 1897 Fannin County,GA died sep 1983 His father was William L Cochran born oct 9 1865 Gilmer couny Ga died july 18,1923 His father was William Monroe Cochran born june 9th 1833 Cherokee County GA died may1,1896 His father was Hezekiah Cochran born abt 1803 Greenville County SC His father was William Cochran born abt 1760 in Virginia DOES ANYONE HAVE MORE INFO ON THIS WILLIAM COCHRAN FROM VIRGINIA AND WHO HIS FATHER WAS?????? A posting from June 3 mentioned Hezekiah Cochran b~1803 Greenville County SC. Does anyone have siblings of this man? I am tracking a very elusive John Cochran b. 1793 SC, d.>1850 census of St. Clair County AL. He married Betsy Cockrum Feb. 1830 in Hall County GA. Children were Sarah Emaline, George W., William R., Collins, Lucinda and John B. (all b. between 1833-1849). My line, from Collins as my great-grand, became Cockrum, then Cothren by the time they reached TX. Brothers George and William remained in the AL/TN area and became Cothern. Both girls ultimately landed in Pope County AR (Sarah spent some time in OK). Youngest child John appears to have remained Cochran. Need to place John Cochran b. 1793 with a birth family.
