She was born Dec 28, 1926 in Dayton, Ohio to Edward and Myrtle (Buckingham) Smith. She married Bill Cochran on March 5, 1947 and they began their life together in Dallas County, Iowa. She attended the Open Bible Institute is Des Moines, Iowa. The couple moved to Collins, Iowa where they ran a meat locker and raised their children. From there they lived in Des Moines and Berwick, Iowa; Stewartville and Rochester, Minn and Phoenix. She is survived by her husband; her sons Casey and Steve; daughter Cynde Cochran; 4 grandchildren; siblings Gerald Goddard, John Goddard and Eileen Gazda; and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers Paul and Virgil Smith and grandson John Cochran. Entombment at Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery in Phoenix. Canon City Daily Record 03/15/05
