He served in the Civil War and I do have a copy of his civil war records. We cannot prove but strongly believe that Samuel was his relative. They lived in Lauderdale County (Daleville) Ms and were originally from SC. Ardus married Harriet (?) and I can find no record of him after the Civil War but find her in 1870. Are you a relative?
