Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/IMJ.2ACEB/1492.1490.1488 Message Board Post: Roderick Craig / Henry County / Indiana The name maybe from my 4greatgrandfather visiting Blackford county, Indiana in the 1840's. Rhoderic is in the 1840 census. 1840 United States Federal Census, in Blackford County, Indiana, Washington Township, Roll: 74; Page: 62. NOTE: The name is the old spelling Rhodric, he is in his 90's, other family members are probably Henry Craig and his family, because she is a Toler, and Barnibus Toler is on the same census list. The ages of the adults match, as does the male children under 10 with Henry Craig information. With Roderick is a male 30-40, female 30-40, female 70-80 (Roderick's wife), and two males under 10. See printout of Roderick 1840 census. This explan the name, if your relatives lived in this area of Blackford County. Carolyn Craig
