Pitt was son to William who is believed to have been born around 1740. His father was rumored to be Hugh. That's about all I have on this linage. Many researchers have spent countless hours attempting to locate more on the early Cochran's from Hickory, Washington Co., PA but have been unsuccessful. This family moved to what became Guernsey Co., OH about 1800/01. Do you have any additional data that can be added to this family in the PA area?
