April 1842 in Iowa. I have a Joseph b. 12May1844 and Samuel Cochran b. 1848, both born in Iowa. and both ended up in Benton county and pettis county Missouri. Both named a son William. Is it possible your william is a junior? Do you know what part of Iowa your william is from? Do you know of any brothers and sisters your william had.
