    1. COCHRAN - COOPER and COOPER - COCHRAN marriages - 20 Oct 1897
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: COCHRAN, COOPER Classification: Marriage Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/IMJ.2ACEB/2253 Message Board Post: "The Kansas City Journal" (Missouri) Thursday, October 21, 1897 A DOUBLE WEDDING. James F. COCHRAN was united in marriage last evening to Miss Mattie COOPER at the home of the groom's father, Robert COCHRAN. A few moments later, in the same decorated parlors and before the same guests, Mr. Randall COOPER, brother of the bride, was united in the bonds of matrimony to Miss Katie COCHRAN, sister of the groom. It was a beautiful double wedding and one long to be remembered by those who witnessed the ceremony, which was performed by Rev. Mr. Edwin LOCKE, pastor of the Highland Park Methodist church. The COCHRAN home was beautifully decorated for the occasion and the parlors were crowded with friends of the contracting parties. After the wedding ceremonies were performed, a wedding supper was served. The two happy couples left on a late train for the East, where they will spend a short honeymoon. They will make their future homes in this city. ====================================================== (I have no connection with this family but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) johnobrien@kc.rr.com ====================================================== neirbo5

I have pretty strong evidence that William Burton moved to Morgan Co. from Indiana.

Parts of this story are true such as the dates. The real little drummer boy that died in Minn 1956 name was Albert Woolson not Charles Cochran. And Albert lived to be 109. We checked the Civil war records and the Minnesota Historical Society death records. Have a great day and Keep smiling.
