He says that Issac Lint was illegetimate. His father was named James Cochran and he was a multi-millionaire but no money came to the family. Uncle Ernie did not know Issac's mothers first name but she was a Lint. Issac went by both names. He says Issac's son George also sometimes used both last names. I want to try to find some information on James Cochran. I'm not sure he was from PA.

I'm in the process of digesting some other info re: Charles Cochran that was just sent to me and will get back to you soon. My great grandmother's (Jennie N. Stoops) bible indicates that Sarah Cochran, wife of William Stoops was born on Nov. 8th 1817. According to family information she was born in Pennsylvania. The bible indicates she died on March 21, 1868, also in Pennsylvania. Family lore indicates that Charles Cochran came to America from Paisley, Scotland via Ireland, which seems to fit more or less with what information you have about the Cochrans. Do you have any other information about Charles--such as whether he served in the Revolutionary War or where he lived? Thanks C. Deacon

She married William Stoops sometime before 1856.

    3. Still looking for Hiram B. Cochran. I found one in the Hamilton County, OH area but I can't connect him with my Hiram. My Hiram Cochran was born in AR and moved to Missouri. Both of his parents were born in ILL. He married Isabelle Chidester in Perry County Missouri in 1874 but, I can't find him before this or before he shows up in the 1880 sensus of Larwence County, Missouri. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a huge Cochran data base but can't place Hiram.
