I am in the process of moving. Our connection is at Nathaniel Cochran. His daughter Mary,I would make a wild guess and say that she is Jacob Cochran's sister. married Addis Bowman, they had a daughter named Rebecca. Rebecca married Lambert Leeper and they had a son, William B. Leeper who married Malissa Watkins. They had a daughter named Anna Leeper and she married Charlie Vincent. One of their sons was Ingle Vincent who married Henrietta Bowers and I was the result of that union. I don't know what else that I have got that will help you, but you are welcome to all of it. It is very exciting to get involved in finding your ancestors. It is a lot of hard work also. I know people that are a lot more involved than I am. I just do it when I can. I am originally from Lumberport, WV. I joined tha Air Force when I was 17, stayed in for 20 years and retired. I presently live in Keatchie, Louisiana and work in Shreveport, Louisiana and the surrounding area. I would love to come home. I have a house in Lumberport. My sister Lola Jean lives near the house. I don't know where you are from, would you care to tell me some about yourself? After all, we are cousins. Mike Vincent [email protected]

We do show a James Cochrun born 1674 in Angus, Dundee, Scotland, but have no other information. We do not have Samuel listed. Wish I could have been of some help.

I would be most interested to know if there is a Samuel Cochran who was b. abt 1710 and md to Sarah Woods of Lancaster Twp, Pennsylvania. This is my line through my mother - Esther May Wall a dau. of Lillie Alice Gates and William Henry Wall. Lillie was the dau. of Mary Elizabeth Hamilton and William. Mary was the dau. of William Anderson and Martha Cochran who was the dau. of Andrew Cochran a son of Sarah Woods and Samuel Cochran. Samuel is supposed to have been in Londonderry, Ireland, a son of either a James or Thomas Cochran. Also he is supposed to have md. Sarah in New York. There is a discrepancy abt. this. Was Samuel really born in Londonderry and if so did he really marry Sarah Woods in New York? We know that they were md. because we have Sarah's father will in which both Sarah and Samuel are mentioned. Do you have anything that would help clear up these qu! estions. I would appreciate any help that you could give me. Sincerely Marian A. Smith [email protected]
