Regards, David "In 1942 President Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066 authorizing the Army to remove all persons of Japanese ancrestry from the west coast. People were taken to 'War Relocation Centers' in California and then shipped to camps in Arizona, Arkansas, Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado. Colorado had a very large camp in Amache (near Holly, Colorado) - nearly 10,000 persons. After the war most of the residents of the camp returned to California.
