Michael Beckman died during the Civil War at a Confederate prisoner of war camp at Salisbury, North Carolina. The other brother was Frederick Wilhelm Beckman. After Michael's death Frederick Wilhelm married his widow, Louisa Ohm. Frederick and Louisa were my GG Grandparents.
