I'm at an online site which is the official Boulder County site. (Thank you for the heads up Karen; I know you were responding to the other person but I also wasn't aware of this site) It is an index to their records ; includes marriages, deeds, power of attorney, etc. There is one where the "document code" is "power of attorney" from one person to another. In a column titled "Legal" it has the notation "Remarks VULTURE LODE". This part of the family were coal miners so I'm sure "lode" references a mine. I understand deeds, quit claim deeds, mortgages, etc. But I don't quite see how power of attorney fits in for a specific piece of property. (As I typed that it may have dawned on me - but would still like to hear others opinions). David
