The reference librarian and I could not find it in the NewsBank database, and I read the obituary pages from Jan. 8 - 15, 2002, just to be sure. Have you considered contacting the Rapid City Journal (http://www.rapidcityjournal.com/) to see if they have an obituary for her? They have a month's worth online, so they probably have the older ones archived somewhere.
