Connor, 82, of Boulder and formerly of Loveland, died May 8, 2004, in Boulder. She was born March 15, 1922, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Elmer Elsworth Houck and Evelyn Bernice Blackketter. She married Densil (Denny) B. Connor Aug. 21, 1947, in Denver. Mrs. Connor lived in Loveland 1962-64 and 1984-92. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution Namaqua Chapter, Orient Chapter Eastern Star, and Ladies Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 41. She enjoyed bowling, bridge, pinochle, knitting and genealogy. She is survived by son Dennis B. Connor and wife Susan of Broomfield; daughters Sharon S. Kirk and husband David of Olympia, Wash., Kathleen J. Rettenberger and husband Fred of Estes Park, and Lynell E. Webster of Boulder; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jenne E. Newman of Redmond, Wash. She was preceded in death by her husband, Densil B. Connor, in 1992. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Crist Mortuary Chapel, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder. Interment will be at Loveland Burial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Helen’s name to the National World War II Memorial Fund, American Battle Monuments Commission in care of Helen S. Connor, P.O. Box 96766, Washington, D.C. 20090-6766. Crist Mortuary of Boulder handled arrangements.
