He was born July 31, 1922, in Las Animas, to Joseph H. and Minnie May Woods Quinn. He graduated from high school. He married Helen Lantz on Nov. 19, 1945, in Fort Collins. He was retired. He had worked in sales in heating and air conditioning. He served in the Army Air Forces Flying Tigers with Gen. Claire Chennault from Dec. 5, 1943, through Nov. 5, 1945. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal and Purple Heart. He lived in Loveland from 1981 to 1999, when he moved to Boulder County. He was a member of the Lions Club, various amateur radio clubs, the Disabled American Veterans and the 14th Air Force Association. He enjoyed being with his family. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder. Private inurnment will be in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
