Johnson and Margaret Schmidt Johnson, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, at the VA Medical Center in Cheyenne, Wyo. He graduated and spent most of his life near Longmont. Mr. Johnson served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from Oct. 21, 1942, to December 1945. He married Geraldine Willmann in 1960 in Denver. He worked as a meat cutter, retiring from Safeway in 1985. He was a lifetime member of DAV and loved music, playing organ, harmonica, and model railroading. He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Cathy Johnson and husband, Larry, of San Antonio; two sons, Dennis Johnson and wife Cindy, and Daniel Johnson, all of Parachute; five grandsons; three granddaughters; four great-granddaughters; and one great-grandson. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mountain View Cemetery in Longmont, with military honors.
