I'm really hoping someone on this board might be able to help me. I live in the Chicago, IL area and know that several of my ancestors are burried in Lafayette Cemetery. As far as I understand it the city clerk of Lafayette maintains the records for this cemetery and I have tried several times over the past year to get information on my ancestors. Each time I email or leave a phone message I get no response. I was hoping that someone in the area might be able to do a lookup for me at this cemetery. I'm looking for internment records, purchase records, photographs of the headstones (and the cemetery in general since I might never get to see it for myself and I'd like to know what it looks like) and a map of the cemetery if there is one. If anyone would be willing to help me with any of this please email me and I will give you the information I have on my family that is burried there. I would be more than happy to return the favor in anyway I could through research in m! y area and would gladly pay for any costs you might have. Thanks!
