Hi Bill, The Longmont Genealogical Society has published a book and CD-ROM of tombstone inscriptions at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery. (If anyone is interested in ordering visit our website at http://www.rootsweb.com/~colgs. ) Charles Knapp is buried in Block 6 Lot 21 Space 03 and the inscription reads: "KNAPP, Chas L /____-____/Co I/15 ILL Inf" Block 6 includes several military markers of Civil War veterans around a flag pole. Although there are no dates on his tombstone, it does say that he served in Company I of the 15th Illinois Infantry and you could try to order his pension file from the National Archives. I did this recently for my aunt's grandfather and it was a gold mine! Jane Adeline KNAPP is buried in Block 35 Lot 104 Space 04 and her inscription reads "KNAPP, Jane A 1851-1913." There are twelve other KNAPP tombstones listed on the CD. Write to me off list if you'd like me to send them to you. Harry Ross Longmont, CO
