He was born July 7, 1915, in St. Louis, Mo., to Bessie Anderson and Sylvester S. Halliday. He married Ellie M. Hindman on Feb. 10, 1939 in Fulton, Ky. The couple to Boulder in 1967 from Arizona. He worked as a truck driver, a tour bus driver, a juvenile probation officer and in the aircraft construction industry and taught welding and mechanics at a reform school. Survivors include: wife, Ellie M. Halliday of Boulder, daughter BJ Cole of Drake and several other relatives. Private family memorial service will be held.
