The Louisville library does not "own" the originals ; Carnegie Library does. And their cost for reproduction is far from nominal. I have the booklet and can do the scan but they won't allow it. I understand their need to raise funds to pay for costs ; but I feel their policies are 1. exorbitant and 2.unfair to nonprofit/free use/common sharing. All I wanted to do was scan a picture of the Louisville Methodist Church c.1910 and place it next to a picture of the church I took in 1992 ; and then just post to Boulder GenWeb ! They also have a picture of a Methodist Ladies Group c.1910 and 5 of the 14 are my people ; and I can't use it ?!? Old photos are a money making division for them. Now that I have all that off my chest - I recommend the best compromise is a link to the Louisville Library photo collection. It is fantastic ! David
