    1. [COBoulder] Louisville Photos
    2. Pauli, In the email I sent yesterday I shot from the hip and was ranting and raving a bit. Although I don't like Carnegie Library's photo policy either, they don't have anything to do with the Louisville Library. Those photos are "owned" by the Louisville Historical Museum. They "don't have a policy for scanning from a book", so scans are not allowed. They don't allow downloading from the Library. And copying is $14.00 for a 5x7 up to $30.00 for a 16x20 ; and if there is no available negative, you have to pay an additional $14.00 and the negative is their property. When I asked for permission to use I'm not sure (even after 3 or 4 exchanges) that they understood what I wanted to do. You'd think they'd have a policy to allow exceptions for nonprofit use. Anyway, that's why I sent that one email suggesting a link to the Louisville Library and the instructions on how to bring up the photos. It was a little difficult to navigate and I thought some might get frustrated trying. David
