He was born Sept. 28, 1951, in New York City to Elizabeth (Gohmann) Buckley and her husband. He moved to Lakewood in 1992 and to Lyons in 1999. Mr. Buckley was a delivery and over-the-road truck driver his entire life. In the last few years, he owned the Dacono and Loveland U-Pump-It locations. He was a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Rifle Association. Mr. Buckley will be remembered as a devoted father who enjoyed his animals, the mountains, camping, RVing and old cars. He was a good fixer-upper and handyman. He is survived by fiancée Judy Self and son Robert Buckley, both of Lyons, and a nephew. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patti Buckley. Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
