    1. [COBoulder] New COGenWeb Boulder County Coordinator

    3. Hello, Listers! I thought that I'd take a few minutes and introduce myself. But before do that I want to send a big THANK YOU to the former Boulder County Coordinator, Sue Gann-Splady. It was a hard decision for Sue to give the county up, but she felt that it was necessary. Sue walked many of the Boulder County cemeteries herself in order to put the names of those buried there online for researchers. Sue took many of the photographs that appear on the Boulder County pages. She was instrumental in getting the Green Mountain Cemetery records online, too. I could go on, but you all know that she is going to be a hard act to follow. Some of you already know me as the manager of the Colorado Tombstone Photo Project. I'm also the County Coordinator for Adams, Arapahoe, and Denver. As much as I wish I still lived in Colorado--I don't. For that reason I am unable to actually do lookups and records searches for any of my counties. I rely heavily on you, the researchers. If your family is part of the Boulder County history (past or present) I'd love to add them to the Boulder Family Group Sheet Project (http://www.rootsweb.com/~coboulde/groupsheet.htm); they can be changed or updated as needed simply by contacting me. Remember, I can't put information online about any living individuals. If you have a personal page with Boulder County connections, please, send me the URL so that I can link to it from the Boulder County "Homepages" section. Do you have old photos? New ones that can aid in genealogical/historical research? Please send them so that I can add them to the Boulder County section of the USGenWeb Colorado Photographs (http://www.rootsweb.com/~cophotos/Boulder/index.htm). I welcome contributions of any item of genealogical significance. I also welcome any suggestions for ways to improve the Boulder County pages. One thing I desperately need are lookup volunteers. If you research at the library (especially the Carnegie Branch Library in Boulder) and would like to volunteer some of that time for others who are unable to get to the library--I need you. If you have access to court records, cemetery records, obituaries, census records--please, let me add your name to the list of lookup volunteers. Do you have old high school annuals? They are a wonderful source for researchers. If you have pre-1927 newspaper pages with vital records, obituaries, local articles--let me put them on the Boulder News Clips pages. Please, forgive the length of this message. I truly want to do a good job for the Boulder County, CO researchers and I need your help. Happy hunting! Leona L. Gustafson GenealogyBug@gustafson.net
