    1. [COBoulder] Re: KRINGEL and ENGLUND descendants
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/XY.2ADE/494.1 Message Board Post: Kimberly, I am not related. But I have copies of 3 books of newspaper extracts that Mary McRoberts did. One is : "Boulder County, Colorado / Marriages, Anniversaries, Divorces, Births and Birthdays / 1859-1900 / Newspaper Abstracts / Mary McRoberts / Boulder, Co/July 1991" Another is : "Boulder County, Colorado / Deaths and the Insane / 1859-1900 / Newspaper Abstracts / Mary McRoberts / Boulder, Co / July 1991" And : "Genealogical Abstracts from the Boulder Daily Camera / 1891-1900 / Boulder, Colorado / Mary McRoberts There is a reference to a Rev. England (spellings were fluid) officiating at a burial in 1875 ; and a mention of a Mrs. G. A. England whose sister, Miss Clara P. Lyon, died 24 Jan. 1875 (It says "From Hampton, CT where buried"). Nothing on either family afterwards. The Boulder County Clerks Office online index - http://icris.co.boulder.co.us/search - has some headings that suggest George A. England died between 1883 and 1885. At the same site the only Kringel marriage certificate listing between 1900 and 1950 is John C Kringel married Helen K. Mclaren [filed] on 1 July 1912 [book 338 page 330]. At the same site the only activity for Englund from 1900-1950 is John & Amanda Englund. More for England but none of the names you mentined. The Boulder Genealogical Society site ( http://www.rootsweb.com/~bgs/ ) has the Columbia Cemetery records on line . It has one listing for a John Englund (24 June 1861 6/2/1934 [location] C101-14 R3). Nothing for England or Kringel. Now, not all papers survived and not all events were recorded but to not have an obit for a Minister surprises me. And while the Boulder groups have made excellent progress in listing graves some have been missed. But to only find one listing again surprises me. John may have been a son / uncle who stayed. But I srongly suspect everone else moved to another county (or perhaps even another state) soon after 1875. They still had property in Boulder and when the Rev. died c.1884 it was settled in a probate elsewhere. Hope this helps, David
