Thanks for responding. Yes, I am related to Linda Melissa Allen. I know a good deal about her father, Perkins Allen, and less about her mother, Margaret Dickerson. My so-far unsolved mystery is what happened to Perkins and Linda. For me, they disappear after the 1880 census when they were living in Leadville, Colorado. If you send me your postal address, I'll send you a part of a history of my family that discusses Perkins Allen and his two wives. After the history was published in late 2002, I discovered what I think was a third wife whom he married in Illinois. He was a complicated and fascinating man. Best wishes and thanks again.
