Wilmer, Am just now getting back into the hobby after burning myself out a few years ago. Have copies of some wonderful books of newspaper extracts that Mary McRoberts did in 1991. They cover the period 1859-1900 and one is : "Boulder County, Colorado / Marriages, Anniversaries, Divorces, Births and Birthdays / 1859-1900 / Newspaper Abstracts / Mary McRoberts / Boulder, Co/ July 1991" And the other is : "Boulder County, Colorado / Deaths and the Insane / 1859-1900 / Newspaper Abstracts / Mary McRoberts / Boulder, Co / July 1991" I trust her extracts but beware of my typing. Hope I'm accurate. Found the following entries - 1. A "Mrs. Mary A. (Hays) Sibbits" married Henry A. Shumway "formerly of Jamestown" at the "Christian Church in Boulder" on May 18, 1881. 2. A James W. Sibbit married a Annie M. Dribble "at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Oliver" in Boulder on Dec 27, 1882. 3. Birth announcement - [underlining mine] - "Sibbit, James W. & Anna (Dribble), formerly of Boulder - twin girls b. 24 June 1894 Pomona, Ca. The other children have the measles." 4. Unfortunately - death notice - [again underlining mine] - "Sibbit, twins of James W. & Anna (Dibble) Sibbit , d. 26 & 30 July 1895. Bur Boulder." 5. Birthday announcement - "Sibbit, Coleen was age 14 on 6 Oct 1897. Her father gave her a handsome bicycle." 6.Side note - A John B. Horn of Washington, Pa. was found dead on a train in Indiana on Jan 26, 1896. "Well known in Boulder. Was partner in the grocery business with J.W. Sibbit." 7, Other family ? - A Louis "Sibbit, Sibbitt, Sibbits" was killed in a mine accident on June 1, 1900. He lived with his mother Mrs. Shumway in Boulder. Buried in Boulder Cemetery. Hope this helps C David Knowles The C is for Carlton - that's my Boulder connections.
