Miller, 60, of Lafayette, Colo., died June 12, 2003, at her home. She was born Nov. 6, 1942, in Schenectady, N.Y., to Richard and Janet Frances Thornton Knapp. She graduated with honors from Linton Senior High School in 1960. She then earned a court secretarial degree from Mildred Ellie Business School. She married Herbert Michael Miller Jr. on Nov. 2, 1963. He preceded her in death in 1986. Mrs. Miller was a former resident of Mamaroneckcq, N.Y., and has been a resident of Lafayette for the past 10 years. She was a member of the Mamaroneck Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed her cats and caring for her fish. She enjoyed traveling and camping and was an avid reader. She loved spending time with her family. She most recently worked in management for the Silco Barn in Lafayette. Mrs. Miller is survived by three sons, Herbert M. Miller III and wife Linda of Loveland, Reginald R. Miller and wife Robbie of Lafayette, and Richard J. Miller of Lafayette; her mother, Janet F. Knapp of Scotiacq, N.Y.; her sister, Cassie Litts of Scotia; and three grandchildren, Nina F. Miller of Loveland, Herbert M. Miller IV of Stevens Point, Wis., and Dylan J. Miller of Stevens Point. She was preceded in death by her husband and her father. Cremation will be completed. Services will be conducted at a later date in Mamaroneck. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Volunteer Fire Department of Mamaroneck, N.Y., in care of Allnutt Funeral Service’s Hunter Chapel, 2100 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland, 80538.
