    1. Your messages are blank
    2. Hello, For more than a few months now, your messages to me have been blank. I have tried to communicate this to you in a previous email, but I guess it did not come through to you. I feel as if I am missing out on a lot of information. I have just returned from a nice holiday vacation to Boulder (where my son, a CU grad, is a rookie cop). I would like to continue receiving your message boards as I hope to return to the area whenever there might be employment opportunities there. Thanks, Michelle Mobley American Honda Motor Co., Inc. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Deed Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/XY.2ADE/821.1 Message Board Post: Searching the public records database at http://www.co.boulder.co.us/clerk/recording/search/icris.htm for STORKE yields a warranty deed recorded September 27, 1973. The Carnegie Library branch of Boulder Public Library now has the Howe Mortuary records. These can be very helpful - they will have burial information, cause of death, family members, and sometimes even include a copy of the death certificate. Perhaps you could consult the volunteer schedule at http://www.rootsweb.com/~bgs/library.html and call the library when someone is available to help.

    1. Highlandlake & Mead History
    2. Pauli Smith
    3. Hi Everyone, Just a note to let you all know that I have created a new website for the Historic Highlandlake historical society. This site has a wealth of genealogical and historical information on Highlandlake, Mead, Weld, CO. and the immediate surrounding areas. The former websites for the historic Highlandlake church building, the pioneer cemetery and the Highlandlake and Mead communities have all been combined into this one major site. You can visit the site at: hollyhockfarms.com/historic_highlandlake Located in southwest Weld County, Highlandlake was the original town site, founded in 1871. When the railroad bypassed the town in 1906, most of the businesses and some of the buildings were moved a mile east to the railroad tracks and the town of Mead was born. If any of you have websites that deal with either the genealogy or history of this area and would like to trade links, I would appreciate it. Just email mail me privately with the link information. Thank you, Pauli Driver Smith http://hollyhockfarms.com<http://hollyhockfarms.com/> COGen Web Coordinator for Boulder & Weld Counties

    1. FORTNER / BARR
    2. Thanks to all of you who replied and sent me the obituaries of Theodore and Cordelia FORTNER. We noticed their daughter, Gladys, married John BARR and had a daughter, Marie. In Theodore's obituary, it states Marie was a high school student (May 26, 1948). Their obituaries also include they owned a restaurant / cottage at Eldorado Springs for over 40 years. Does anyone know the name of this business or what happened to it after Cordelia passed away (March 02, 1962)? Just trying to fill in a few gaps and in hopes of finding Theodore's parents; Francis and Mary J. (nee Spaulding) FORTNER. Happy Holidays Charlene Spaulding Richardson Co NE Email: mihnbu@aol.com

    1. FORTNER / FOURTNER
    2. Happy Holiday Greetings List I am new to this list and in hopes of finding our FORTNER who were listed living in Boulder, CO in the 1910, 1920, and 1930 census. Theodore FORTNER was born c. September 25, 1876 Wheelersburg, Vernon, Scioto County, Ohio. He married a woman name Cordelia (unknown maiden name). They had numerous children, but I've only been able to find two daughter; Gladys and Naomi. Naomi is not listed on the 1920 census. These daughters were born between 1904-1910 possibly in Missouri according to the census records. Theodore is the son of Francis M. FORTNER and Mary J. SPAULDING. Hoping to find more family members for the Holidays <smile>. Charlene Spaulding Richardson Co., Nebraska Email: mihnbu@aol.com
