    2. Pauli Smith
    3. Hi Everyone, This email came to me since I am the Boulder County COGenWeb coordinator. It isn't strictly genealogy but I thought it was worth a try. Since she is not on the list, if you have information for Carolyn, please contact her directly. Thank you, Pauli Driver Smith - Boulder County COGenWeb Coordinator ----- Original Message ----- From: Carroll<mailto:carroll@bedford.net> Carroll <carroll@bedford.net<mailto:carroll@bedford.net>> To: pauli1028@msn.com<mailto:pauli1028@msn.com> Sent: Wednesday, February 16, 2005 10:29 AM Subject: Boulder CO, Longmont I am wondering if you would have a clue of where I could search. My problem is this. Our town (Everett, PA ) is building a military Memorial one of the men we hope to place on the memorial is Joseph Stine. He was killed in Vietnam. His senior year his parents moved to State College, PA. Joseph stayed behind in Everett to finish high school. He then left for the service and never actually resided in State College with his parents. For the military he used his parents address. Thus when he became missing in action he was listed as being from State College. This all came to light when a woman contacted me circa 1997-1998 that she had wore his MIA bracelet and was searching for information on him. It turns out while in Everett, he was a neighbor to my family. Being he was not listed from Bedford County, PA he friends never knew his fate until I uncovered all of this. I have since found him listed on some things as being from Everett, PA and on other things being from State College. State College never recongnized him because they had no clue who he ! was being he never actually resided there. I found his wife in 1998 and she wrote me a nice letter of his history, I inturned scanned years books, contacted his friends and put together a history for her of his life before the military that she had never known. His wife lived in Universal City, Texas. I have tried to contact her (Gwendolyn Stine) and my letters have been returned. I now found her on the Social Security Death Index and she died in 1999. In the last letter she wrote to me she stated she had a son Donald in Charlotte NC who was a Banker. I have not been able to locate him, after calling all Donald Stine 's from People Search. Also in the letter she stated she has a daughter Beth married living in Longmont, CO with a daughter Elaine, who is five years old. Being 1998 the daughter would now be around 12-13. She did not give Beth's husband's name or her last name. In order to have his name place on the Bedford County Memorial I MUST have permission from! his family since he is listed as being from State College, PA on some of his papers. I am sure he would want on a memorial from the town he grew up and remembered by people that actually knew him. The Memorial is being planned so I am racing time that I find his daughter or son before the names are placed. I could contact the schools, if I knew the school district and if there is only one school district covering Longmont? Is there a local paper for Longmont? Any ideas would be appreciated. Carolyn ... ps I am a Barndollar descendant. The town of Everett, PA was founded by Michael Barndollar, his son Winfield Barndollar played a part in History in Boulder. ( was the treasure and murdered, his house is still standing and on the Historical list in Boulder) No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
