Uriah and Jane have been dead for more than 100 years a few more weeks won't matter. I know how hard it is to pin down information with such a common surname. You wouldn't know which is the right Mary Williams unless you see the actual certificate and hope parents are listed. Anything you could do is much appreciated. Steve

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/XY.2ADE/837 Message Board Post: Would appreciate if someone would check for an obit or cemetery listing for Uriah Williams, born 1817 in New York and died 21 Dec. 1887 and his wife Jane Williams, born 1845 in Pennsylvania and died 6 Feb. 1894. The last verifiable information I have for them is an 1880 census listing for Pella in Boulder County. I am not even sure they were still in Boulder County when they died. I understand Pella was near present-day Hygiene. Also listed in the 1880 census was a daughter, Mary A., age 19. I appreciate any help. Steve

    1. Boulder County Flood 1894
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/XY.2ADE/834 Message Board Post: Hello All, My name is Mona Lambrecht, an historian and genealogist currently working on a web and film project of the Boulder County Flood of 1894 that took place May 31. I did extensive research a few years ago that resulted in an article in the Autumn 2001 "Colorado Heritage" for those interested in knowing more about the story. With the article as my base, I am beginning to expand the narrative to first develop a website (for my Masters' Thesis) then a documentary film and looking for anyone who might have had a family member experience the flood anywhere in Boulder County. So many communities were severely damaged or destroyed, not just the town of Boulder. If anyone has any family stories that have been passed down, or diaries realting to this event I would be very interested in talking with you. There are not many diaries/oral histories to be found at the Carnegie Library and my interests lie around getting more "first person" views and reactions to the disaster both during the event and anyone who was a part of the rebiulding of the towns. While being a Boulder native, I currently reside 2000 miles away, so I cannot be reached locally. However, I will be in Boulder on a research trip sometime this summer and would be happy to discuss any findings in person. In the meantime, you may contact me at mlambrecht@mac.com with any questions, comments, or information. Thank you very much in advance.
