    2. Pauli Driver Smith
    3. HI Everyone, Richard Garrett is looking for someone to transcribe a copy of an obituary in the Colorado State Archives. If you can do this, please respond directly to him, as he is not on this list - as far I know, Thank you, Pauli Driver Smith - Boulder County GenWeb Coordinator ********************** I have a further question. I've found a copy of the obituary in the Colorado State Archives. They do not allow photocopying, however, but only transcribing; which means visiting the Archives. I'm obviously not in a position to do visit. Do you know of any volunteers who might do that for a fee? RGGarrett Portland, OR RGGarrett@comcast.net I am looking for an newspaper obituary of Alexander Pope Allen, who died in Boulder County on April 30, 1880; he is buried in Valmont Cemetery. A. P. Allen (as he was known as) was a prominent early citizen of the county, mentioned in many reports, including a number of online reports. He migrated to Boulder from Wisconsin around 1860. He is my wife's great great grandfather. I have many reports about him, including a copy of a family bible page; but none of these reports tell who his parents were. I hope an obituary of the time might possibly have that information. Can you help?" Richard Garrett Portland, OR

I wouldn't assume that Elizabeth died elsewhere. Robert's death certificate was probably filed with the recording department to help settle his estate. Death certificates aren't always entered in the public records - she still may have one on file with the vital records folks (I think that's the health department).
