    1. [COBOULDE] Lewis Cheney and Allison Family
    2. Hello I am looking for information concerning Lewis Cheney (d1885 in Boulder Colorado) and Lyman Cheney (Brothers) in the Boulder area. Lewis' daughter married William Allison, the first mayor of Boulder I believe. Lewis was the President and owned part of the First National Bank of Boulder. His daughter's family went on to live in the "Allison House" which is still standing today. A biography of Lewis Cheney is found on pages 82 and 85 of the Portrait and Biographical Record of the State of Colorado, published in 1899. I am looking for the biography from the book or any histories of these families(Cheney/Allison). I believe a picture is also found in the biography. Does anyone have a scanned picture of the "Allison House"? I am building a website about Lewis' family and wish I could get this info to post. Any descendants of this family? I have a good bit about Lewis and Lyman' siblings and ancestors but know little of them. Travis Thompson
