Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/XY.2ADE/196.256.1 Message Board Post: My great-great grandfather is Elias D. Marquand. He had a son (my great-grandfather), Elias D. Marquand Jr. born in Clarksville, Iowa. I have old newspapers from Longmont, CO. After compiling the information in the newpapers and existing information form my family, this is what I have. I have all 12 children and their birthdates for Elias and Mary Elizabeth. When Elias Jr. was born in 1856 they lived in Knox County, Ohio. Elias and Mary Elizabeth were then pioneer settlers of Butler County. Elias organized and named Butler County. Who is your great-grandfather? My great-father Elias Jr. came to Longmont, CO in 1907. He owned and operated the Isis theater with is son Ed. They sold it in 1925. The only information I have for Henrietta is that her name is Hariet S. and was born 1847 and died 1864. Is this your relative?

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/XY.2ADE/399.1 Message Board Post: Hello Barbara, I found a lot of information on the Goudge's in our collection. I found Alfred and Annie H. Goudge and Edwin and Annie Bennett Goudge and their families in the 1900 census. Along with the census info, one of our members has also included any biographical information she could find on that person, so there is some extra information there. I found Edwin and Annie Goudge in the 1910 Census as well. Same thing, there is a little biographical info beyond the cenus as well. They all lived in Gold Hill, CO, a small mining town in the mountains. Then I found a lot of burial information in the Gold Hill Cemetery book. There are those with the Goudge surname then others throughout with Goudge as maiden name. The Gold Hill book is small - 10 pages worth. I could make copies and mail them to you (for cost and a donation if you can). Probably about 15 copies of info altogether. Let me know and I hope this helps. Cari Taplin, BGS member

Derr and Margaret Moorehead Derr (and children I believe) in our Columbia Cemetery, Boulder transcriptions book. The book contains much more than just the tombstone info though. Mary McRoberts, who put the book together, really did a nice job in writing up a bio of each person if she could. There are about 3-4 pages I could copy and mail to you if you like. Let me know.

I have not found his brother Edwin, could he be the Ed in the picture? Edwin must have went to or was from Jo Davies, Ill at one time. Edwins parents, John and Harriet, were from England. I know that the oldest son, William Henry Goudge, was born about 1846 in England. Can you email a copy of the picture? I have been working the 1880 census index, and found other Wicks's in Colorado. Ed's mother was a Wicks.
