I've been searching for a year without a single clue. You just provided a whole series. Yes, Laura (Giggey) LEWIS was his wife. These documents also show a John D. Lewis, who (I think) was William's brother. Now I just have to learn what the documents are. Thanks again, Colin

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/XY.2ADE/488.1 Message Board Post: Colin, I'm no legal eagle so could very well be wrong ; I wouldn't think he'd need a license except perhaps for the telegraph. And I don't know who that would be through. The Boulder County Clerks Office has an online index to their records - http://icris.co.boulder.co.us/documentSearch.jsp . It's just an index, lists titles only and sometimes they get cut off. If you find a record you'd like to see you can write them for a copy. Or perhaps SKS can get one for you. I scanned it quickly ; not sure I caught everything and Lewis is a common name. I saw a lot of activity for a William C. (W.C.) Lewis (and 1 with him for a Laura M. Lewis - his wife?) between 1878 and 1885. But nothing later ; did they move ? And in the late 1890s there was a Willam A. Lewis (sometimes just William Lewis) who was apparently a coal miner. Didn't see anything about a license ; no incorporation papers ; most were things like chattel mortgages and deeds. Hope this helps David

Her mother Joanna Corbin died when Luella was about 5 yrs old then her father Harriaon Fletcher Orvis married Susan McNitt. I wonder if in the letters you have it mentions anything about Luella Montana (Ella) and her husband Hiram Randolph Jones. I show them listed in the 1880 Sugerloaf, Boulder Co., Colorado census and her other siblings are listed also. Her sister Ida married George Washington Williams. My relatives are hiding from me and I need your help to find them. Georege Kuhefuss was born Abt. 1872 in Cederberg, Ozaukee County, WI He died on a train around the first week of May 1910 en route from his home in Boulder, Boulder County, CO to Neenah WI. He died before reaching Chicago. Clearly, I'm never going to find death info on him. Talk about a moving target! Buried in Neenah, WI. He married, probably in Neenah, WI on October 26, 1896. Anna Frederikka Sorley b. October 03, 1874 in Neenah, Winnebago County, WI d. July 27, 1962 Wenatchee, Chelan County, WA but buried in Neenah, WI. After the marriage, they moved to Boulder, Colorado and supposedly their three daughters were born there. Mildred Emily Kuhefuss Helen Louise Kuhefuss Elizabeth Kuhefuss After George died, they went back to Boulder for a time, but eventually, Anna moved to Washington to live with her brother Martin Sorley. I don't know what happened to the daughters, but since I'm sure they all changed their names when they got married, I don't have a clue how to find them. They had such great, easy to find maiden names! If anyone has access to an index of the 1900 census for Boulder and can find them, then maybe I can get years of births on the daughters. I'd also like to George's occupation. Possibly there might be an Obituary for George in mid May of 1910. I really want to find the daughters but are there even marriage indexes for years as recent as 1915-1925 when I would expect them to be getting married? If anyone has any information or suggestions for me, I would appreciate it. Marji Sorley First Cousin, Twice removed from the Kuhefuss daughters
