For a taste of mass confusion, go to this site: GENDEX -- Surname: KOBEL Johann is listed as b. 14 Jun 1690 in Bas Rhine, France. b. 4 Jul 1693 in Hoffenheim-Sinsheim, Baden, Germany. d. 22 Feb 1765 York Co., PA. d. 22 Feb 1765 Hoffenheim-Sinsheim, Germany. d. 22 Feb 1765 Orange Co., NC. And all married to Maria Geisler!!! You will see a lot of conflicting data on the internet. The key to confirming all data is to obtain church records, tax lists, land grants, obits, family bible records etc. The closest confirmed data I have seen on Johann just was posted in fact by Jean on KOBEL-L.
