    1. [COBLE] Coble/Kobel's in York County, PA. who left Wills
    2. Here is a list, with all possible spelling variations of Coble/Kobel's who wrote a will in York County, PA. between 1749-1850. The importance of having a copy of someone's will is great. It often provides the wife's name, children's names in birth order, and in the case of daughters it might give her married name, how the property is divided among the heirs. If you are not able to find a birth record for a child, sometime the only proof you may have would be a copy of a will listing the children of the deceased as heirs. If Estate Inventories are also available, order it. Estate Inventories can hold a wealth of information as it lists the personal or real property that belonged to the deceased. When I read the inventory list of personal property of my ancestor Peter Whitright who died in 1813 in Columbiana Co., Ohio, his whole life became so real. I learned that he owned leather pants, flax shirts, books, copper pots, a spinning wheel, linens, candle sticks, farm tools, a list of his livestock, how much rye, wheat and corn were planted on his farm. And that he owed money to a tavern "over the mountains", meaning York, Pennsylvania. Amazing!
