    3. Jean, Hi! Ahland Co. Ohio was not formed until 1846. Part of it was formed from Wayne and Richland counties (Ohiogenweb site). The land purchased by a Henry in Ashland Co. in 1831 and land purchased by a Christian in Richland Co. in 1832 were probably adjacent to each other or close by. The range #'s and Twp. #'s are close. My Chtistian Jr. and his brother Henry would still have been in this area at this time. These dates in fact coincide with the death of their father Christian Sr. in 1830 and the partition of his estate in 1831-32. It is very likely your Christian had a brother Henry. It seems every German family of this era had a Heinrich or two. No doubt our Christians and Henries were cousins. Have you tried Huron Co. Ohio? Orange Twp., Ashland Co. was formed out of Orange Twp., Huron Co. in 1846. I see you have 1850 census info for Orange Twp., Ashland Co. Info may be found in Huron Co.
