Looking for data on Civil War veterans named Coble who served with the 87th Pennsylvania Infantry, a regiment mustered in York in September 1861. 1) Coble, Christian C., Pvt Co H; mustered Sep 19, 1861; discharged Oct 13, 1864; born Jan 15, 1840; died Dec 19, 1889; a laborer from Washington Township, York County; 5 ' 2", blue eyes, sandy hair; married Mary Maguire August 1865, although his tombstone says his wife was Elizabeth [Mary Elizabeth, perhaps?]; brother of Ephraim and Abraham Coble; buried in Mt. Rose Cemetery, York Township, York County, Pennsylvania 2) Coble, Abraham B., Cpl Co H; mustered Sep 19, 1861; discharged Oct 13, 1864; born Jun 21, 1847 [debate on that birth year]; died Nov 27, 1911; a farmer and blacksmith from Washington Township, York County; 5' 1" - 4", black hair, blue eyes; enlisted at probably age of 14 but claimed 19; son of Peter & Mary Margaret Crist Coble and brother of Christian and Ephraim Coble; married Susan M. Hartman January 19, 1867, at Franklintown; children: John W. (b. 07/27/67), Mary A. (b. 04/11/71), & Carrie E.
