The Thomas that was Wiley's brother was born around 1777. The Thomas born in 1803 (NC) could be the son of this Thomas or he could be the son of Solomon or John or Sion. I suggest Sion as there was Thomas Coats, orphan, bound out to Joshua Simmons to learn the trade of blacksmithing in LCT around 1815. Sion was married to Lucy Simpson. Just a thought.
