I have a "sort of" connection to George Washington. My 6th great grandfather, Joseph Weeks, married (2) Mary Pope, d/o Nathaniel Pope and sister to Ann Pope who was married to John Washington, the great grandfather of George Washington. My 6th great grandfather, Joseph Weeks, was married first to Sarah Blagdon. We are not sure which one of the two wives we are descended from.
