Lets clarify something first. We know that Elenor was married to Elijah, and we know that Helena Hickman was married to a Coats and had two children(Pollard and Emilia) We do not know that Elenor and Helena are the same person and if they are, then we have to assume that she is not the mother of Austin and Elijah is not the father of Pollard and Emilia. Furthermore, if Elenor and Helena are the same and married to Elijah, then we would need to assume that there would be two males under 10 in 1800 or one under 10 and one 10-16. Elijah appears in the 1800 Census ,of Orange Co., SC, with one male under 10 and one 26-45 and 2 females under 10, one 10-16 and one 25-26. A Sion Coates also, appears on this Census.
