Well, got through the rest of those NC Rowan County deed records and there was nothing more there, not even a witness... The Laurens County SC will records show a John Coate witness to a will of Martin Kinnard...other witnesses Witfield Walker, Thos W. Thompson...John also proves the will...will dated 1849 proven 1854...well this is interesting the date of the will at the beginning and at the end don't match..at the end it says, Oct 16, 1852...oh, looks like this is a codicil hmmmm...guess I'll have to check the prior couple of pages...but this codicil was witnessed by John Coate... I also ordered some GA records the Jefferson County GA court minutes...the equity records for Newberry still haven't come in yet...
