Hello listers, I'm trying to trace the whereabouts of Sgt. Edward COATES, RASC British Army. He was born about 1917, it's presumed in England, and during World War 2 was stationed on the grounds of Crystal Palace in London. In 1943 he was posted overseas, leaving behind his fiancee and young son. His son was later placed in the care of Barnardos Home in Essex before being sent to Australia as a British Home Child. I'm writing this on behalf of his granddaughter who would to find Edward COATES or any family members, and would appreciate any help or information.
