Dear Linda Et al Finally! I do believe we have located a James Coats of Colorado that descends from William T Coats of Randolph Co., IN. who married Lucinda ( Smith ) Wheeler. William is my great great grand uncle, brother to Susannah Coats who married Silas Pearson ( both born Miami Co., OH and lived most of their life in Darke Co., OH. ). I hope to call him soon and see if he's willing to do a DNA test. Pray that he will otherwise I believe it may be the only way to prove my Coats ancestry. Steve Pearson Mt.
