    1. [COATES-L] New photos posting to CoateCousins Family Website
    2. Etta Cooper
    3. To all my cousins: This is to inform you of new photos postings to CoateCousins Family. If someone is mislabeled, tell me. I'll change the photo heading. These photos are from Frank Coate, son of Franklin(twin) & Maxine Dunn Coate. Milton is the other twin. [Franklin (sib of Joy McMillan, Bertha Hudelson, and Cleoh Higgins) son of Charles Abbott Coate and Matilda Frances Woolsey, Tilda dau of James Henderson Woolsey and Sarah Catherine Adaline Howser, Adaline dau of John Howser and Eva Emeline Long Howser.] These photos were taken to a color copier and copied, (on a separate sheet of paper labeled & IDed with backside info)& attached to the photo page. Then mailed to me. The photos are very good and I was able to clean, touch up, and repair what needed to be done to make them viewable and a small enough file to post. If you don't have a scanner and you want your photos posted so everyone can see them, take a group of the photos to an office supply place or print shop. If there is no access to the COLOR copier, have the shop people place several photos on the glass, until the window is full. No use wasting paper or your money. Color copies cost anywhere from $1.50 to 5 dollars a page. For that reason choose photos carefully. Send the color copy to me. Include return postage on an envelope if you want it returned. I'll scan the color copy and post it to the website. The color copy is the cheapest way to go. The best way is the photos taken to a professional photographer and negatives made. The negatives are bought and can be sent to me (SASE). My scanners has a slide and negative adaptor. Rather it will when I order it. Not far off now. Why a color copy of a blank and white photo? The color copier uses the finest quality paper, ink, and machinery to copy a photos. The standard copier is cheap ink, cheap paper, and on the cheapest machine they can put out there for the public. The difference in a photo copied on the two is the difference between night and day. If you, yourself, have an excellent printer at home and get photo paper, you can make your color copy at home to send. My printer isn't a very good one. It prints out email and stuff off the internet, but isn't good enough for a photo. And, it's hard to get a good printer. Usually cost an arm and a leg. This book is ending now. Take care and enjoy the photos. Email me if you need an invite to view the webpage.
