If you read all of the info at "SARC" you find that the Symantec folks are treating it as a HOAX! The SULFNBK.EXE file can be infected with a virus, BUT it (SULFNBK.EXE) is a legitimate Microsoft file. Its mere presence signifies nothing. If you delete it you most likely will have only deleted a seldom used utility that was provided by Microsoft. One of the purposes of HOAXes is to frighten people into damaging their PC or its functionality while they try to remove the non-existent virus or Trojan. The people who initiate HOAXes are just as much vandals as the one who write viruses. They expect that in fear/ignorance/panic or some combination thereof people can be induced to damage themselves. Unfortunately they often succeed. Please people, when you receive these e-mails that try to rush you into deleting something from your PC, don't just blindly go and do it! Check it out first, even if the person who sent it to you is sincere and well meaning, it still is quite possibly a HOAX. The Symantec site referenced below is a reputable resource, as is www.mcafeee.com. After all, if someone you didn't know (or someone you did) called you up and told you that a criminal working at your bank was about to steal your money. That you could only prevent it by withdrawing the money and placing it for safekeeping with the woman in the green dress standing on the corner one block down the street from the bank.
