Gosh.. what a surprise. We all thought the Coats/Coates/Etc was going to be free and informative source for our family genealogy. I am sure you would never include my genealogy Char..since you know I have always been adverse to selling my family away and we have done a few things together that I thought you had agreed with. I can understand the many films and their sale. However I do hope you have not included my research, Etc on any of your DVD's. I would have to take issue with that. I will order it to make sure. Don't forget Grainger Co had very little to offer and I traveled to get most of the genealogy that is not available to the electronic public. I wondered why you had become cold in our correspondences ..well now I know. I am sorry I offered a free web site and all the web space you needed to upload and maintain the Coats/Coates sites. Now I know why..Money! I do understand retirement, I do not understand you not being honest. Are all those stories about attorneys true? Girl.. I didn't go your route. I have taken my genealogy site down..However I have included the address at my business sites and have had more response. Lewis did not come from your suggestion..He was found in ship migration 1798. Ticks me off that you sold out. Don't call me , I'll call you. Have a good life, Louise Kohl
Whoa, Louise, I don't recall any offer of a free website and all the space I needed..did I miss an email...? Folks, I'm just doing other things and don't spend that much time on the family research any longer... There is nothing on that disk that wasn't on the website...as I recall Louise, you had your own site with all your info on it...so why in the world would I put that on this disk? Look if anyone would like to take that disk and put it back on the web, please feel free...I don't have a problem with that... It's just more convenient for me to have the disks made and packaged somewhere else, they look nicer, and unfortunately there is a cost to that...I could make it a free download but holy cow, who wants to tie up their computer with a 2GB down load or those with dial up would just not have access to it...so I just thought this the best way to go... Wow, didn't realize all this was going to raise such a fuss.... Char On Sat, Apr 12, 2008 at 2:06 AM, louise <louise@careyandlouise.com> wrote: > Gosh.. what a surprise.
